2023 Spring Flag League

Zionsville Flag Football League is designed to give student athletes an opportunity to participate in football without pads and contact. Practice/Games will be on the same day once a week. High School/Middle School coaches will be running the practices and games with assistance from ZYFL youth league coaches. We will focus on developing the skills needed to execute and defend the passing game. All participants will have an opportunity to run routes, catch footballs, and defend receivers in practice and games. There is no blocking or tackling involved in the league. Teams will consist of 5 v 5 on a condensed field. Quarterbacks will be selected through an evaluation process. The teams will be grouped by grade level (possibly combining grades 2/3, and 4/5/6 depending on the number of signups). Jerseys will be provided with signups as well as flags. Football or soccer cleats are recommended but no metal baseball spikes.
