The mission of the Zionsville Youth Football League (ZYFL) is to help our players learn and enjoy the game of football, develop their athletic skills and build character through hard work, fair competition, sportsmanship and teamwork.

For our tackle football divisions, AGE and WEIGHT restriction rules apply with regards to positions played. For all divisions, Rules are subject to revision and/or clarification annually by the appropriate governing body: ZYFL for Recreational Programs (Flag, TackleBar and Tackle Football).

ZYFL is organized into Flag Football, TackleBar Football, Rec Tackle Football, and Cheerleading.  Programs are organized by the participant's anticipated grade in the Fall of the upcoming football season into the following Divisions:

• Flag (K/1st and 1st/2nd Grades)
• TackleBar (3rd Grade)
• Rec Tackle (4th Grade and 5th/6th Grades)

Cheerleading is open to children entering the 1st through 6th grades in the fall of each year. The Cheerleading program is unlimited enrollment and no try-outs are held. For more information see Cheerleading.
